Bagnacavallo: ASH TREE in via San Gervasio
This tree is a Southern Ash tree (Fraxinus oxycarpa excelsior). This species is today really rare and survives in flat land or low hills in yards or at the edge of fields. This tree is 21m tall and has a girth of 3m; most of the trunk is wrapped by ivy and some locust trees grow on one side of the tree.
Massa Lombarda: BLACK MULBERRY TREE in via Selice Vecchia
Isolated in the country, the black mulberry tree (morus nigra) in via Selice Vecchia has an height of 11m and a girth of 4.90m. Its structure is very wide, but the tree is rather stocky. According to the people living in the area, it is 200 years old.
Lugo: BLACK POPLAR in Ronchetto
This Black poplar (populus nigra), which in the local dialect is called "e bdoll", is located in Ronchetto.
Massa Lombarda: BLACK POPLAR in via Del Signore
This huge black poplar is isolated in the courtyard of a mansion house and can be seen also from a great distance. It has a girth of 4.75m and a height of 27m. The trunk is single and regular, branches begin at 5-6m of height. According to the features of the species, in particulary the scarce longevity and the fast growing, it should be a young, but relevant tree.
Massa Lombarda: ELM in viale Ravenna
The plant (ulmus minor) is 16m heigh. Anyway they are worth of mention because exemplars of this species are very few.

The ethnographic museum of Villanova ('Ecomuseo della Civiltà Palustre') has been active into the field of ethnographic research for more than twenty years, and is now opening an open air museum display in the garden of the former school of Villanova.

Although not very big (2.51m of girth and 14m tall), this maple tree (acer campestre) is relevant since it exceeds the typical size of its species.

Exemplar mulberry (morus alba) of huge size: 4.90m of girth and 15m tall, isolated in the courtyard of an abondoned house.
