Since 1968 Lugo has been twinned with: the French town of Choisy-le-Roi, which is located on the river Seine, not far from Paris; Nervesa della Battaglia, a town situated between Conegliano and Montebelluna, in the Italian province of Treviso (Veneto); since 1974 Lugo has been twinned with the German town of Kulmbach, which is located where the rivers Weiss Main and Rot Main meet; since 1993 Lugo is also twinned with Augustin Codazzi, in the area of Cesar (Colombia), a town originally called Espiritu Santo and then renamed after the geographer Codazzi from Lugo and with Yoqneam in Israel. Lugo has also friendship relations with Wexford (Ireland).
