PIAZZETTA GUARESCHI
This small square located in the historical town centre of Conselice was recently named after the writer Giovannino Guareschi (the author of Don Camillo and Peppone's stories). The square has been restored by the set designer Gino Pellegrini, who is renown for his top-level experience in the Hollywood cinema industry.
The Piazzetta Guareschi has been transformed into a scenography and the walls of several buildings around the square have been painted with scenes of local everyday life of the past and with the characters of Guareschi's novels.
The project has completely changed the square and the surrounding area; it is intended as a celebration of the local community's past tradition, which is represented as an epic narration.
