The village was already known during Roman times, due to its trading port that linked Venice with Imola. It was named Caput Silicis, from which the current name comes from, due to its strategic position in the valley of the river Pò of Primaro.

Lavezzola is a small village within the municipality of Conselice. It is located on right bank on the Santerno river and its territory was once property of Jacopo Lavezzoli, whose family had received it as a gift from Leonello D’Este in 1443. The natural parks of Argenta, Marmorta and Vallesanta are very close.

San Patrizio is a small village in the municipality of Conselice. Its history is linked to the ancient IX century local parish church and to the Irish pilgrims that settled here to worship St Patrick.
