CHIESA ARCIPRETALE DI SAN MARTINO
The church, overlooking the main square, was built in 1820 in neoclassical style on the ruins of a XI century romanic church.
CHIESA DI SAN MAURELIO
Wished by Alfonso Lavezzoli, this church was built in 1577 upon Giovan Battista Aleotti's design. In 1609 it became a Parish Church. According to the tradition, the church preserves the holy relics of Lavezzola's Patron Saint and of other saints.
CHIESA DI SAN PATRIZIO
This is the earliest parish of the area; it was founded in the IX century by a group of Irish pilgrims that settled here and worshipped St Patrick. From a simple niche for worshippers, it developed into a parish that was modified over the centuries; the current architecture, with a longer nave, a new façade and a bell tower, dates back to the end of the XVIII century. The precious XIX century bell tower mechanism has been recently replaced.
LA FONTANA DE BAFION
The earliest public fountain in Conselice dates back to the second half of the XIX century and is known as “E' Bafiôn”.
MAGAZZINO MANIFATTURA TABACCO E RISO
The buildings of 'Tarabina' were originally rice warehouses and tobacco factories with dry houses. The first building dates back to the second half of the XIX century, when the rice production started.
MONUMENTO A DON FRANCESCO GIANSTEFANI
In 2004 the artist Cesare Rabbiti created this monument to celebrate Father Francesco Gianstefani’s thirty years long support of his local community, from the ‘30s till the long and harsh post-war reconstruction.
MONUMENTO ALLA STAMPA CLANDESTINA E ALLA LIBERTA' DI STAMPA
This monument celebrates the freedom of press and the underground press which was in action during the liberation of Italy at the end of World War II; underground press was an outstanding phenomenon during those historical events and a fundamental means to achieve freedom and liberate the country. The monument is a printing machine similar to those used during the liberation days; behind the machine stand the plates of the news magazine and the Italian and European flags, which were the inspiration for those who fought for freedom.
MONUMENTS TO RICE WEEDERS AND TO RIVER BANKS BUILDERS
Luciano Caldari’s monument in Conselice celebrates the earliest labourers’ revolts and the rice weeders demands which led to the 1890 massacre during the so called “red week”.
MULINO DI SAN PATRIZIO - HISTORICAL MILL
The mill belonged to the Duke Francesco Pico della Mirandola and was erected at the end of the XV century; it lies along Imola mills canal, the ancient canal leading to the river Po of Primaro.
PALAZZO COMUNALE - TOWN HALL
The townhall dates back to 1880 and was designed by Lorenzo Fontana.
