Lugo municipal library has five reading rooms: books are filed on shelves according to subject, following Dewey system. There is also a multimedia room with several PC, Internet connection, CD-ROM players, Word program, scanner and printer. The library disposes also of many rare books and manuscripts, whose reference is just for research purposes. On the ground floor there is the newspaper library, while the second floor is dedicated to children. The access to the rooms is free and they can be used as studying rooms. Thanks to the National Library service (SBN), the library is connected to over 800 Italian libraries and with Internet to several international data bank.
